Our verdict

As of November 8, 2026 it costs about $0.47 per Wh. The BLUETTI AC180 has the same 1,152 Wh and 1,800 W for $499, or $0.43 per Wh. The Dabbsson 1000L is $386 at $0.38 per Wh, but it has 1,008 Wh and only 1,200 W.

The R1500 ranks #30 of 31 on our under $1,000 list, #6 for fast charging, #34 for UPS use, #41 for solar and #50 for lightweight. The $539 is a sale price. The 2-year warranty grows to 5 years if you register the unit on the maker's site.

Buy it if you want a 3,000 W surge rating and a unit you can expand later. Skip it if cost per Wh matters most, since the AC180 does the same job for $40 less.
